It's just a plain fact that many musicians are stressed. Full-time orchestral rehearsals, performances, concerts and solos, music exams (as a teacher or student), recalcitrant students, lesson preparation, broken strings and no spares, arguments, missing players or lost music ... an endless list. Not to mention keeping life and limb together and healthy.
Saraband Music can help. You may be too far away to benefit from my hands-on Reiki or Naturopathy sessions but I can still help. You are welcome to order over-the-counter products such as Bach Rescue Remedy (I live on it), eye pillows for catnaps between rehearsals, relaxation CDs and other helpful items.
As a qualified naturopath and natural therapist, I have access to many different products, from vitamin supplements, natural toiletries, essential oils, environmentally friendly cleaning products and much more. Please note that supply of practitioner products is only available after a consultation.
There is no problem with ordering these products with your music purchases, but a separate invoice will be issued for most health products. |

Bach Remedies
No, not named for J.S. Bach or his family. Dr Edward Bach (1880-1930) found a way of making remedies from flowers and plants which work on the emotions. He was a doctor, homoeopath and extraordinary psychic who challenged the medical practices of his day. There are 38 remedies, and a combination known as Rescue Remedy. All are available here.
You can combine up to 6 remedies in one bottle. They do not interact with any medication or give any side effects. The results are subtle, but highly effective when the right remedies are chosen, and this comes from really recognising the emotion at the bottom of the problem.
Bach Flowers: $6 for a 25ml bottle; $12 for a 50ml bottle for up to 4 remedies (including Rescue Remedy), or $1 extra for 5-6 remedies. No more than this in one bottle. These are dilutions, but the dilution has no effect on the potency.
Stock bottles (undiluted) are also available. You can put a few drops in your water bottle, on food, or under your tongue.
Dosage: Take four drops under the tongue, four times a day, or as required. There is no problem with taking more than this, but taking less may see slower progress. Rescue Remedy can be taken as often as wished, and in the case of accidents (nil by mouth) can be applied to the skin. |
