Saraband Music sells strings from Bernd Kuerschner Musiksaiten in Germany. A good selection of strings for bowed instruments are always in stock, plus fretgut. Strings for other instruments will be ordered on request.

Kurschner makes strings for many different instruments: the violin family, the gamba family, lutes, guitars, theorboes, harp, hurdy-gurdy, oud and many folk instruments. Please ask about strings for these instruments.

Kurschner makes a variety of different types of strings. Plain gut (varnished or unvarnished), Florentine (high twist), Luxline (gut with a copper or silver strand), Catlines, silvered copper on gut, or silver on gut. In addition there are also carbon fibre strings and custom made strings. Modern steel strings are also available on special order.

A few rosins by Kurschner for violin or cello are also available.
