Site structure: This site is arranged in sections, indicated by the headings on the home page. When you click on one of these, it will open the first page in each section. Use the navigation bar headings at the top of the page to go to other pages in that section. If you hold your mouse over or a little below one of these "hot spots", you will see the name of the link displayed next to the cursor. To go to other sections, click on the Saraband logo at the top of every page, which automatically returns you to the home page. Use the up arrow to go back to the top of the page. Also use the back button to cycle back through the pages. Your page up and page down keys should also work.

Searching: Many pages contain long catalogue listings. To speed your search, use Ctrl + F, or "Find" on the browser menu. Type in your composer or keyword, and you'll find your information quickly. The browser will remember your search query as you go from page to page. Remember to check the "Whats new" page each time you visit Saraband Music. I update that whenever anything new is loaded or corrected on this site. I attempt to change it regularly, though that is subject to my workload!

Colours: The colours you see are ultimately determined by your monitor quality. We have tested this site on several computers before loading it, and all monitors produced colour variations. Our aim was for a soft pale green background, and darker green Saraband logo on the home page. The colours on some monitors may be a harder green, closer to lime.

Frames: Saraband Music's site doesn't use frames. This is to accommodate people with old browsers who may not be in a position to update them for various reasons. When you come from a site that does use frames, occasionally that site may direct the new site to open in a new window. That means that you cannot access your previous search history until you close that window. All of this is beyond my control. Saraband Music's website does not attempt to "entrap" any user or wipe any search history. User friendliness is my top priority.

General: Images are compressed to the maximum to allow for fast downloads. If your system is slow, you may wish to turn off images in the menu of your browser. Slow downloading is probably because of heavy traffic on the lines. You may achieve quicker downloads at other times. If there is an aspect of this site which requires attention, please email patrice@saraband.com.au If it is feasible to change something, it will be done. But please check first that it is not something in your browser preferences which might be changed. Emailing: Saraband Music receives hundreds of spam emails per day. When emailing, please put a sensible subject line in, such as "Music order" or similar wording. Just leaving the subject line blank or putting in "Hi" will result in the email being deleted.

Privacy: Saraband Music collects and stores information about its clients for its own use only, namely addresses, phone and fax numbers and email addresses, plus instruments played. Address lists are not sold to third parties, and client information is not available. Credit card details are not stored on the Saraband Music computer, and all steps are taken to keep this information secure, including destruction of merchant slips after a certain period. Email addresses are kept to inform customers of new editions, etc. and names are removed from this list by request. Information sent from Saraband Music to its clients is not spam.
