Scuzzi
(rhymes with fuzzy) is a very cute tabby and white cat, born around
1st September 1999. He has a gentle, loving nature and is always friendly
to Saraband Music's customers. He loves climbing on bags or looking
inside, resting on instrument cases and generally visits once or twice
during lessons. He is a house cat only, but enjoys bird-watching from
our living room, and more recently he gets a half hour walk in our back
garden. This is achieved by means of his red harness and lead, and he
is very good at terrorising lizards. He sings (particularly at mealtimes),
and at an early age decided to become a castrato (he lost his Furlitzer
Organs!).
Scuzzi's
talents unfortunately lie generally in directions other than music.
He is excellent at chasing a ping-pong ball around the house, and VERY
good at losing it. He used to enjoy playing with his rubber spider and
rubber mouse (until he ate them, AND the elastic they were on). As far
as assisting Saraband Music's operations, he has not been of any use
in accounting, stock selection or other business activities, but he
has shown great talent in customer relations (with cat people, that
is), and may graduate to Security Guard because he likes checking bags. |
Scuzzi's
name should really be spelled SCSI, a piece of computer equipment. He
got his name because on his first day at home, he stood on Tony's computer
keyboard and created a new folder on the Windows desktop. With talent
such as that, a computer-oriented name seemed most appropriate. We still
don't know how he did it.
These
days Scuzzi weighs in at a hefty 8Kg, and would like to be fed on
a continuous basis. Unfortunately he tends to think mealtimes should
be an hour or two earlier than his set times, and he's very good at
interrupting our work to get our attention. His campaign has some distinct stages:
1. I'm here in the room with you. 2. I know where you are. 3. I can get between you and what you're doing, you know. 4. I don't leave your person until you feed me.
For those who have visited this page many times, and who would like to see some more recent shots of Scuzzi, here they are!
